TRADITION

THE ALBERTO PLEDGE OF QUALITY

The ALBERTO label has a long tradition. We have been specializing in pants tailoring since 1922. Ever since the early days, the company has been showing that it has what it takes to create high-quality modern fashion: the experience of several generations of perfect craftsmanship combined with technological innovation and an unerring instinct for trends. Carefully selected materials and meticulous attention to every detail.

For us, quality and design are deeply ingrained principles which we live up to every day! By quality, we understand not only the use of high-quality fabrics and yarns, outstanding craftsmanship and perfect fit. We also see quality as ensuring that our pants contain no harmful substances and that our production processes and manufacturing conditions are unobjectionable.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

ALBERTO's Quality Promise

wecare hand

It goes without saying that all our pants also bear the world-famous OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 seal, which proves that textiles have been tested for harmful substances throughout their entire production chain. This ensures that ALBERTO clothing is always safe for your health. We also use fluorocarbon-free (PFC-free) impregnation in the production of our dirt- and water-repellent materials.

This seal confirms at a glance that our garments are made without prohibited dyes, heavy metals, or chemicals and other additives that would give rise to environmental and/or health concerns. However, from our perspective, the best feature of the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 seal is that the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certificate has to be renewed every single year. We are under a mandate to present our quality promise for review at regular intervals and it must be re-certified. We do this with absolute conviction to provide the best protection for all who love ALBERTO's fashion lines.

DEVELOPMENT & CONTROL

ALBERTO's pants are developed in Germany at our headquarters in Mönchengladbach Germany.

Our company's own laboratory also verifies the quality of all of our top fabrics for their physical and chemical properties. We furthermore place a lot of emphasis on the longevity of the materials we use.

PRODUCTION

ALBERTO pants are manufactured exclusively by passive contract processing in Tunisian, Romanian and Polish partner companies, all of which work in accordance with the Workers' Protection Act and are permanently monitored by our own technicians on site during production. To ensure that social standards are adhered to at all stages of production, our employees regularly visit and inspect all the factories.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION-RELATED STEPS

The dry cleaners and laundry services that give our pants the instantly recognizable ALBERTO look consistently enforce measures that mitigate the impact of their dry cleaning and laundry parameters (conservation of water and energy, reduced utilization of chemical products paired with a maximum in workplace safety regulations). The objective for the near future is to implement consistently closed energy & water utilization cycles, deploying solar energy and water recycling practices. We have been foregoing the use of sand blasting in the finishing processes of our pants for many years.

RESOURCE-SPARING ENERGY

The responsible use of resources is a key component of our production process. We purchase green electricity from e.optimum AG (Offenburg), and our web host obtains all its electricity from renewable energies.

In 2014, we invested in energy-saving warehouse lighting, which is constantly maintained in line with the latest LED technology. What's more, we are constantly optimising our packaging, ensuring the best possible recycling cycles and keeping transport routes short.

RESOURCE CONSERVATION PRODUCTION

We are extremely keen to ensure that raw materials for ALBERTO trousers are sourced close to the respective production sites. This doesn't just save on transport routes, it also guarantees optimum control of quality and social standards. We also regularly have our carbon footprint recorded in order to make our progress towards climate neutrality clear.

We also measure our sustainability in finishing processes with the internationally recognised EIM score evaluation system, which makes our reduction in the use of water, energy and chemicals as well as our high social standards transparent.

save energy and washing detergent icon

SAVE ENERGY AND WASHING DETERGENT

We consciously place value on materials which are particularly easy to care for, so they can get perfectly clean, dry quickly and don't need ironing even at low temperatures. This makes it possible to reduce the energy consumption needed to clean our pants to a minimum: low washing temperatures are enough, and you don't you don't need a dryer or even an electrical iron.
